The Lagoons is the musical project of multi-instrumentalist brothers Ryan and Joey Selan. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, the duo first gained recognition for their dreamy, atmospheric sound characterized by smooth vocals, intricate melodies, and lush production after releasing their debut Gems EP in 2016 which helped them establish a growing fanbase. Since then, the duo has expanded their catalog, releasing three albums and three EPs and further solidifying their reputation as one of music’s most promising acts. The Lagoons write, produce, and perform everything themselves, channeling the freedom of DIY artistry with the polish of seasoned pros.

Their Southern California roots continue to shine through their unique blend of indie pop, chillwave, surf rock, jazz, and electronic music creating a unique sonic landscape that draws listeners in with its laid-back vibes and introspective lyrics. Their music feels like a sunset drive along the California coast—nostalgic, cinematic, and effortlessly cool. Tracks like "California" showcase their knack for crafting catchy hooks and a mood that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Their fourth studio album will be coming out in October 2025.
